1. Our Commitment

At MonsterSweeps we want play to stay fun, social and within your means. We offer games for entertainment only. This page explains the tools we give you to stay in control, the signs that play may be becoming a problem, and where to get free, confidential help.

You are always free to use these tools. Using them will never count against you, and we will not use a limit, time-out or exclusion to penalize your account.

2. Know the Facts

  • Virtual currency is still real money to you. Buying coins costs real money, and spending beyond your means can cause real harm, even in a sweepstakes or social setting.
  • Games are random. No pattern, streak or system can predict results, and past results do not change future ones.
  • There is no guaranteed win. Never treat play as a way to make money or to solve money problems.
  • No purchase is necessary to take part in our sweepstakes. See the Official Sweepstakes Rules for how to enter for free.
  • Play only if you are 21 or older and only with money you can afford to lose.

3. Warning Signs

Many people play without any problem. It may be time to take a break or get support if you notice any of these:

  • Playing for longer, or spending more, than you planned
  • Using money meant for bills, rent, food or family
  • Chasing losses by buying more coins to win back what you lost
  • Feeling restless, anxious or irritable when you cannot play
  • Hiding your play from family or friends, or lying about it
  • Playing to escape stress, loneliness or low mood
  • Borrowing money, or selling things, to keep playing
  • Failed attempts to cut back or stop
  • Neglecting work, school or relationships because of play
If several of these sound familiar, you are not alone, and help is free. Skip to Where to Get Help.

4. Quick Self-Check

Ask yourself honestly. Answering yes to even one is a good reason to use a tool below or talk to someone.

  • Do I spend more on coins than I can comfortably afford?
  • Do I feel the urge to play again right after a loss?
  • Have I played longer than I meant to in the last month?
  • Has anyone close to me expressed concern about my play?
  • Do I feel guilty or ashamed after playing?
  • Have I tried to cut down and found it hard?

5. Player Protection Tools

These tools are available to every player, free of charge. Setting up or tightening a tool takes effect right away.

Purchase limits

What it does: Caps how much you can spend on coin purchases.

Options: Daily, weekly or monthly. Lowering a limit is instant. Raising or removing one takes a 24-hour wait.

Session reminders

What it does: Pop-up alerts that show how long you have been playing.

Options: Every 30, 60 or 120 minutes.

Time-out (break in play)

What it does: Locks you out of games, purchases and bonuses for a set time. You cannot end it early.

Options: 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 60 days or 90 days.

Self-exclusion

What it does: Longer or permanent lock on your account, with no promotional contact.

Options: 6 months, 1 year, 3 years or permanent.

Account closure

What it does: Closes your account at your request.

Options: Permanent. A waiting period applies before any reopening request is considered.

Marketing opt-out

What it does: Stops promotional emails, texts and push messages.

Options: Switch off in account settings or write to [support email].

The exact durations and limits above are [confirm with product team] and should match what the platform actually offers.

6. How to Use the Tools

  • Online: sign in and go to [Account Settings → Responsible Play] to set limits, reminders, a time-out or self-exclusion yourself.
  • By email: write to [support email] from your account email and tell us which tool and what duration. We confirm in writing and apply it as soon as we can, and within [24] hours at the latest.
  • On request while you are unsure: if you ask for a time-out or exclusion, we will not talk you out of it.

You do not need to explain why you are asking.

7. During a Break or Exclusion

  • Your account is locked for play and coin purchases for the full period. You cannot shorten it, and we will not reactivate it early.
  • We stop all marketing messages and promotions to you.
  • You may still contact support and request data or account information.
  • We do not allow a new account to be opened to get around a lock. Creating another account while excluded is a rule violation, and we may close it.
  • Whether and how any balance or eligible prize can be redeemed is set out in the Terms of Use and Official Sweepstakes Rules.
  • Returning after self-exclusion: when the period ends you must contact us to ask for reactivation. We may ask for a cooling-off conversation and re-verify your identity first. Permanent exclusion is not reversed.

8. Tips for Healthier Play

  • Set a budget before you play and treat it as money already spent.
  • Set a purchase limit and session reminder today, while you are calm.
  • Take regular breaks, and never play when tired, upset or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Do not try to win back losses.
  • Do not use credit, borrowed money, or money for essentials.
  • Balance play with other things: friends, exercise, hobbies, sleep.
  • Keep track of time and spend using your account history.
  • Talk to someone you trust if play stops feeling fun.

9. Age & Access Protection

MonsterSweeps is for adults 21 and over only. We verify age and identity, and we close accounts found to belong to someone under 21.

  • Keep your login details and devices private. Never let anyone under 21 use your account.
  • Do not save payment or wallet details on shared devices.
  • Consider parental-control or gambling-blocking software on shared or family devices, such as BetBlocker or Gamban.
  • Tell us at [support email] if you suspect a minor has used the Services.

10. One Account Per Player

Each person may have one account only. This keeps play fair and makes sure the limits, time-outs and self-exclusions you set cannot be bypassed by opening another account.

  • No multiple accounts. You may not create, own, use or share more than one MonsterSweeps account, directly or through someone else.
  • We check. To enforce this we compare account details, verified identity documents, device information and IP address, alongside other fraud-prevention checks.
  • VPNs, proxies and location masking are not allowed, because they hide where you are playing from and can make an account look like a duplicate.
  • Self-excluded or locked players may not open a new account to continue playing. Doing so is a serious rule violation.
  • Do not share your account with family, friends or anyone else, and do not play on someone else's account.

If we find multiple accounts

  • We may suspend or permanently close all of the accounts involved and remove the player from the Services.
  • Bonuses, coins and prizes linked to the duplicate accounts may be cancelled or forfeited, as set out in the Terms of Use and Official Sweepstakes Rules.
  • We may refuse any future registration by the same person.

Shared homes and networks

We know that family members or housemates may share one home, device or internet connection. If you share a network with another player, tell us at [support email] before or as soon as you are contacted, and we will review the accounts. Each account must still belong to a different, verified adult, and each person must use only their own account.

If you disagree with an account decision, you may submit one dispute with your evidence to [support email]. Further disputes about the same decision may be declined. Repeated or abusive disputes can lead to permanent removal.

12. Worried About Someone Else

  • Speak privately, kindly and without blame. Describe what you have noticed and how you feel.
  • Do not give them money to cover losses or debts without a plan.
  • Encourage them to use limits, a time-out or self-exclusion, and to call the helpline.
  • Look after yourself too. Gam-Anon and the national helpline also support family members.
  • A family member cannot self-exclude another adult for us, but you may write to [support email] to tell us about your concern. We will take it seriously, though privacy rules limit what we can say to you about another person's account.

13. How We Look Out for You

  • We may review play and spending patterns for signs of risk, such as sharp increases in purchases or very long sessions.
  • If we see risk signs we may contact you, remind you of these tools, apply a temporary limit, or pause marketing to you.
  • Our support team is trained to respond calmly and without judgment when players ask for help.
  • How we use your data for these purposes is explained in our Privacy Policy, under Responsible Play.
